Foundation of the Helmuth Plessner Society (HPG) 14.03.1999 in Göttingen
The Helmuth Plessner Society was founded on the initiative of Monika Plessner, the widow of Helmuth Plessner, on March 14, 1999 in Göttingen. The founding meeting was prepared by Wolfgang Eßbach, Joachim Fischer and Lolle Nauta. Wolfgang Eßbach, Joachim Fischer, Kai Haucke, Zdzislaw Krasnodebski, Hans-Peter Krüger, Hans-Ulrich Lessing, Lolle Nauta (†), Monika Plessner (†), Walter Sprondel and Konrad Thomas (†) took part in the founding meeting (in alphabetical order).
A constitution for the HPG was adopted. Wolfgang Eßbach was elected as the first President of the HPG at the inaugural meeting, Lolle Nauta (†) as Vice President and Joachim Fischer as Secretary General. Monika Plessner (†), Hans-Peter Krüger, Walter Sprondel (†), Bruno Accarino (†) and Zdsislaw Krasnodebski were appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board.
